I've been making jewellery since summer 2024 - and have been hooked on it ever since. I've been crafty since childhood and have been making greeting cards for over 20 years.

Who/what is Chester and Bubes?

Chester is a well-loved (toy) orangutan liberated from Chester Zoo. Bubes is his sidekick - a lovely old teddy bear named after Christmas's super crooner, Michael Buble.

Polymer clay product care

Thank you for supporting handmade jewellery. To help your polymer clay earrings remain in excellent condition, please follow these care guidelines:

General Care

  • Handle with care. Although polymer clay is durable, it may break if bent or dropped.
  • Store your earrings in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Avoid placing heavy items on top of them.

Cleaning

  • Wipe gently with a soft, damp cloth.
  • For more stubborn marks, use a cotton bud with a small amount of rubbing alcohol.
  • Do not use acetone or harsh cleaning products.

Avoid Contact With

  • Water (please remove before swimming or showering)
  • Perfume, hairspray, and body lotions
  • Oils and solvents

Each pair is handmade, so slight variations are part of their unique charm.

Safety information

Although care is taken to use hypoallergenic earring components where available we cannot guarantee earrings are safe for people with allergies or skin sensitivities.

Shipping Rates

All orders are dispatched in 1-2 working days. We currently ship via Royal Mail offering the following options:

Standard Shipping: (2nd class) £3.00 for orders up to £24.99

Expedited Shipping (1st class) £4.00 for orders up to £24.99

Free shipping (1st class) for orders over £25.00

Please note: Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to carrier delays.

Address Accuracy

Please ensure your shipping address is correct before placing your order.  We are not responsible for orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer.

Returns and Refund Policy

Due to hygiene and safety reasons, all earring sales are final. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds on any earrings once they have been purchased.

Why This Policy Exists

Earrings are considered personal items and cannot be resold once opened or worn. This policy ensures the health and safety of all our customers.

Exceptions

We will only offer a replacement or refund in the following cases:

  • The item received is damaged or defective upon arrival.
  • The item received is not what was ordered.

To qualify for an exception, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the item and packaging
  • A brief description of the issue
